A Zoo Crew volunteer for the past three years, Maribeth was selected to go on a trip to the arctic last year&nbsp;to study polar bears in a program sponsored by the Zoo, Polar Bears International and the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers. Maribeth is currently planning ways to share what she learned in Manitoba, Canada, with people here in Northeast Ohio. The contribution was the result of a fundraiser held on July 29 at 24 participating Bob Evans Restaurants in Northeast Ohio. A portion of the proceeds from restaurant sales on that day were donated to the Vernal Pool Project to the tune of  $6190. Bob Evans also served as a supporting sponsor of the Zoo's 2008 summer event Frogs, Hogs &amp; Dogs.<br />
